Danny L. Carroll, 70, of Bowling Green, KY departed this life on Monday, October 19, 2015 at his residence. The Edmonson County native was born May 13, 1945 to the late Harlan and Dora Saltsman Carroll.
He was a consumer advocate for Life Skills and a member of Unity General Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, John Clyde Carroll; one sister, Emmogene Coulter of Bee Spring; three brothers, Denny Carroll of Mammoth Cave, Lanny Carroll and Billy Carroll both of Bee Spring; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The Granite City, IL native was an electrician at GM Corvette Assembly. He was a son of Jim Hollis and Jan Luckert Hollis of Brownsville, who survive. The Edmonson County native was born July 27, 1940 to the late Arlie and Iva Hunt Brooks. She was the devoted wife of fifty-eight years to Elro L. “Tranze” Vincent, whom survives. She was a housewife and a member of Jock United Baptist Church. Erma adored her family and found greatest pleasure in caring for her children, their wives and her grandchildren. He was born on August 29, 1971 in Louisville, KY, the son of Kenny Clark and Terri Probus Gibson. Dwayne was a member of Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green. Dwayne graduated from Western Kentucky University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 2001 and his MAE in 2008. He was a teacher for the Edmonson County School District for 15 years. Dwayne was a wonderful and loving son, husband, father, brother and teacher. Dwayne enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, golf, and basketball. Dwayne touched the lives of everyone he knew. His legacy will continue in his family and all of the young children he helped inspire throughout his career. Dwayne is survived by his parents Terri Gibson (Bob Debiak) of Lewisport, KY and Kenny Clark of Leitchfield, KY. He also leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Vicki Hughes Clark, two daughters, Kayla Clark and her fiancé, Alex Shobe of Bowling Green, KY; Kelcy Clark and her fiancé , Chase Duvall of Brownsville; and a son Keaton Clark of Brownsville. He was born on March 26, 1930 in Kyrock, KY to the late Sylvester and Nell Myers Salley. He was married to his wife of 44 years, Leola Estes Salley, who preceded him in death. He was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force. His 20 year service included the Korean War, three tours of duty in Vietnam, and he retired in 1970 as a Master Sergeant. He was formerly employed by W.T. Grant, Standard Farm Store, and Lessenberry Do-it Center in Glasgow, KY. He was a former mayor of Park City, member of the Park City Masonic Lodge #934 F&M, and a member of Park City United Methodist Church. Randy was born in Memphis, TN and was a disabled wood craftsman. He was a son of the late Joseph Everett Dillard and Glynn Averial Evans Dillard. He was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Dillard. Memorial service will be at 5:00 PM Friday at The Lighthouse at Nolin Lake, where he was a member. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM Friday at the church.
