​Yvonne “Bonnie “ Arterburn, age 81, of  Park City, KY, passed away on Saturday October 29, 2016 in Horse Cave. The Park City native was born on November 2, 1934 to the late Lawrence “Shorty” and Florence Arterburn. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Audrey Bartley and Joyce Hogan and nephew, Jimmy Bartley.

She was a retired staff psychologist for the State of Illinois.

She leaves behind her nieces, Sherry Poff (Brent), Apex, NC and Pamela Hogan of Park City; two nephews, Jeff Hogan (Cheryl) and John L. Hogan of Park City. She also leaves behind many cousins and friends.

At her request Bonnie will have no services at her death.

​Danny D. Duvall, age 60 of Clarksville, TN passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 1, 1956 in Grayson County, Kentucky the son of Jerome Duvall and Sarah Decker Duvall.
 
He is survived by his wife, Sang Sun Duvall of Clarksville, TN, parents, Sarah and Jerome Duvall of Anneta, sister, Sara Ann Cummings (Scott), brothers, Rodney Duvall and Roger Duvall (Marsha), mother-in-law, Ahn Bong Soon, 1 niece and 3 nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Lanny Duvall.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Anneta United Baptist Church in Anneta. Burial will be held in the Anneta  Cemetery in. Visitation will be held after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Watson and Hunt Funeral Home and from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.

​Marsha Filback, age 63, of Sweeden, KY, departed this life on Thursday, October 27, 2016,  in Bowling Green, KY.  The Edmonson County native was born on May 27, 1953 to the late Walter Johnson and Mabel Lorene Johnson. She was the wife of  Ronald Filback who survives.

Marsha was a beautician and assembly line worker for YAMI and she was a member of
Poplar Springs United Baptist Church.

​Rosamond Bryant Krahenbuhl, age 78 of London, KY, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 in  Glasgow, KY. The New Albany, Indiana  native was born September 16, 1938 to the late John T. Dudley and Edith Adams Dudley and was married to the late Hobert Bryant and the late James Krahenbuhl.

She was a  homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Hobie Bryant (Rosalene) of London, KY and John Krahenbuhl (Melissa) of  Chicago, IL; three daughters, Jennie Wathall (Bud) of Walls, MS and Sally Robertson (Doug) and Aletha Hall both of Hardyville, KY; one sister, Teddy Robison of Clarksville, IN; fourteen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren and a very very special friend, Jimmy Cole of Wingfield, KY.  She was also preceded in death by one great grandson, Brett Robertson and one brother, John T. The Edmonson County native was born March  4, 1925 to late Abraham Lincoln Wells and Mary Elizabeth Roundtree Wells. He was married to the late Hattie Mae Hennion Wells.

Nelson worked as a production manager for MEDUSA Rock Quarry. He was a member of Beaver Dam Chapel United Baptist Church.

​Doug Parker, age 61 of Glasgow, KY, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Glasgow. The Barren county native was born August 24,1955 to the late Pete Parker and the late Elvie Keith Matthews. He was married to Sheila Johnson Parker, who survives.

He was a truck driver and a member of Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Chris Parker (Angela) of Campbellsville; one daughter, Mandy Temple (Vince) of Fountain Run; three grandsons, Gage Parker, Andrew Britt and Garrett Parker; one granddaughter, Christina Britt; three brothers, Donnie Parker (Vonnie), Mark Parker and Bill Parker; one sister, Sue Craine (Robert) and several nieces and nephews.

​Edna Childress, age 92, of Chalybeate, KY, departed this life on Friday, October 21, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Sandy Hook, KY to the late Lafe and Katie Boggs. She was married to Alvin Childress for 68 years, who proceeded her in death. 

Edna, as a young woman, accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at Rocky Branch Baptist Church in Burke, Ky. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star in Brownsville, Fairview United Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She dearly loved gardening, gospel music, tending to her one hundred rose bushes, and laughing and talking with her friends and family. 

She is survived by one daughter, Pat Eyl (Anthony, Jr.) of Atlanta, GA; one son, Jimmie Childress (Teresa) of Mammoth Cave, KY; six grandchildren, Nancy Eyl (Bjorn Arp) of Washington, D.C., Jennifer Eyl of Providence, RI, Anthony Eyl III (Tarn) of Woodstock, GA, Craig Childress of IL, Amanda Black (Charles) of Mammoth Cave, LeeAnn Childress of Mammoth Cave; eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.

She was dearly loved by her family and endeared herself to her devoted caregivers in the last years of her life.

​Wynelia Cassady, age 89, of Cedar Springs, KY, departed this life on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in Bowling Green, KY.  She was the daughter of the late Homer Parker and Cherry Crump Davis and was married to the late Phillip Cassady.  

She was a retired cook for Edmonson County High School and was a member of New Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

​Wesley Jackson Chapman, 72, of Bee Spring passed away Oct. 4, 2016 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
 
The Jefferson county native was a retired employee of Regal Boat Co. and a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a son of the late Durward Gilman Chapman and Francis Mae Cubert Chapman. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Gail Chapman and two brothers, Durward Chapman and Clarence J. Chapman.

​Joe Don Patton, 60, of Sweeden, KY, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at his residence in Sweeden, KY. The Edmonson County native was born December 5, 1955 to late Joe D. Patton Sr. and Janell Farris Patton who survives. He was married to Sherry Trulock Patton who survives.

Don was a carpenter and owner of Patton Construction. He was a member and deacon at Jetson Community Church and was also a member of the Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM.

​Edward Ray Wade, Jr., 60 of Bowling Green died Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at his residence.

The Barren County  native was born on July 4, 1946 to the late Grover and Gracie Brooks Sturgeon then met and married her true soulmate Ronnie Snawder and God gave them 53 years together.

​James Ray Coates, age 75, of Park City, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at his residence in Park City. The Edmonson County native was born on September 15, 1941 to the late Robert Lee and Lottie B. Coates. He was married to Edith Childress Coates.

James was a Vietnam Army veteran and retired after 20 years with the Army National Guard and also retired from SKF as a machine operator. He was a deacon at Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

​Bennie Earl Vincent, age 73, of Cub Run, KY, departed this life on Monday, October 10, 2016 at his residence in Cub Run, KY. He was born on September 14, 1943 in Edmonson County, KY to the late Reubin and Chloie Wingfield Vincent. He was married to Nadine Smith Vincent who survives.

Ben worked for the Great Onyx Job Corp. as a welding instructor, and was a heavy equipment operator and farmer. He served on the Edmonson County Board of Education for 25 years, was a member of the Cub Run Lodge #910 F&AM, and the Edmonson County Cattlemen’s Association. He was also a member of Ollie United Baptist Church.

He leaves to honor his memory one son, Bennie T. Vincent (Elissia) of Cub Run, KY; one daughter, Kimberly D. Sanders (Larry) of Cub Run, KY; one sister, Kalia M. ​Lama Donald "Don" Sanders, 74, of Grassland died October 10, 2016 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.

Don was born December 8, 1941 to the late H.T.  (Henry) and Ruby Geralds Sanders, and was preceded in death by his much loved son Robbie in 2001, as well as brothers Richard (Dickie), H.T. (Tommy) and a sister Geraldine Renfro.

In his life, Don always enjoyed nature and the outdoors. He enjoyed many varieties of sports but especially hunting and fishing. He was knowledgeable about farming practices, trees and plants, wildlife and their habitats, and would often share that knowledge with others. His working years included factory work, construction work and cattle farming. He was a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church and Edmonson County Cattlemen's Association.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Vincent Sanders; children, Kevin (Kim), Pam Roof (Mark), Renae Etheridge (Raymond) and Tim Sanders (Linda); grandchildren, Marlee, Brandy Avery (Scot), Kellie, Katie Newberry (Richard), Steven Hoffman, Brittany, Jessica, Joanna and Robbie Hayes. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren, a sister Mildred Jenkins, sisters-in-law Sue Sanders and Carole Sanders, brothers-in-law Eddie Vincent (Rose), Noah Vincent (Maretta) and Bob Renfro, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

​Phil Lindsey, age 62, of Bee Spring, KY, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, October 6, 2016. The Edmonson County native was born on June 2, 1954, to the late Willie E. Lindsey and Gitana Huffman Lindsey, who survives. He was married to his devoted wife of forty-one years, Carol Stewart Lindsey.

Phil was a Safety Manager for Ohio County Balefill, former employee of Pyramid Mining and former Director of Edmonson County Ambulance Service. He was a faithful member of Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church and also belonged to the Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM. Phil was saved at Kyrock and truly loved his church and his family. He was a true friend and neighbor.

He leaves to honor his memory his wife, Carol Stewart Lindsey of Bee Spring; two daughters, Laura Cunningham (Warren) of Chalybeate and Leanne Pierce (Kyle) of Bee Spring; three grandchildren, Lilly and Evan Cunningham and Kylen Pierce; his mother, Gitana Lindsey, his mother-in-law, Mary Ann Stewart of Bee Spring and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Rita Raymer.

Interment will be in Sweeden Cemetery.
