Jeremy Scott Wilson, 29, of Mammoth Cave passed away Sunday Oct. 27, 2019.
The Barren county native was an employee of Stupp Bridge Co., a member of Lincoln Volunteer Fire Dept. and a member of Union Light Missionary Baptist Church. He was a son of Tracy Wilson (Janice Minton) of Mammoth Cave and Sandra Vanover (Tony) of Chalybeate, all of whom survive. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Union Light Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday, 9 AM-8 PM Thursday and after 9-10 AM Friday at Gravil Funeral Home. John E. Lindsay, 67, of Mount Dora, FL passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 16, 2018.
The Edmonson County native was a 1969 graduate of Edmonson County High School, graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in accounting and made his home in Central Florida. He was a son of the late George W. Lindsay Sr. and Gustava "Gussie" Westerfield Lindsay. John became highly skilled in the mortgage business and had a successful career that culminated in owning his own real estate and mortgage businesses. He retired to the Lakes of Mount Dora community, where he enjoyed time with his wife, Polly, his lovely home and many close neighbors. He was a devoted and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Edna "Susie" Lindsay. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday Oct. 5th at Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member. Joseph Larry Davidson, age 80, of Cave City, departed this life on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in Bowling Green. The Barren County native was born on September 7, 1939 the late Joseph Francis Davidson and Georgie Allen Davidson. He was married for 62 years to Frances Turner Davidson, who survives.
Larry was a Cave City councilman, retired from Sorensen and was the owner of Davidson Auto Repair. He was a member of Shady Grove Church of Christ; a Kentucky Colonel and was inducted into the Trapshooting Hall of Fame. Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory, two daughters, Teresa Lynn Jones (Carlos) of Glasgow and Benita Gail Davidson of Cave City; two granddaughters, Melissa Lynn Garrett (Travis) of Eighty Eight and Sylvia Lake of Cave City; soon to be great grandchild and one brother, Donnie Davidson (Emma) of Cave City. Born July 30, 1931 in Quincy, Indiana, John was the son of Cecil and Laura Smith Elmore. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Warren, Thomas and Kenneth, sisters, Virginia, Betty and Irma. John graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1949. He worked at Indianapolis Power & Light Company, retiring in 1993, after 43 years of service. John also served for 11 years in the United States Army Reserves. On January 6, 1979 John was united in marriage to Linda M. Minton. They shared 40 years of life together. John and Linda lived in the Indianapolis area before retiring to Florida in 1993, residing there until returning to Indiana in 2014. John was a member of the Berean Baptist Church in Port Charlotte, Florida. He was baptized on the 7th of November 2010 by Rev. Fred Cowardin. John is survived by his daughters, Anna M. Sneed (John) and Julia R. Taylor (Keith); grandson, James E. Thomeson (Kesha); granddaughters, Johanna E. Lassiter (Bobby) and Lacy C. Babich (Jacob); great-grandsons, Jalen X. Thomason, Jackson R. Lassiter and Henry J. Lassiter and great-granddaughter, Kaley Ortega.
