Patty Hayes Hatler, 94, of Smiths Grove died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at Genesis Health Care Edmonson Center.
The Hardin County native was daughter of the late James Powell Hayes and the late Nell Williams and is preceded in death by her husband Roy Hatler, and 2 sisters. She was a retired mail carrier and a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church and the Cave City Eastern Star. She is survived by her son, Dennis Hatler, a granddaughter, Samantha (Kelly) Embry, and a great-grandson, Taylor Smith. The Edmonson County native was born August 29, 1969 in Bowling Green KY to Teresa Madison and Ronald Booker who survive. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Virgie and Luther Booker and uncles Brent and Bryan Madison. He served in the United States Navy and the Naval Reserve. He was an E.M.T. and a member of the Rocky Hill Volunteer Fire Department. In recent years, he was the care giver for his grandparents, Flora and Howard Mitchell Madison who survive.
