Patty Hayes Hatler, 94, of Smiths Grove died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at Genesis Health Care Edmonson Center.
The Hardin County native was daughter of the late James Powell Hayes and the late Nell Williams and is preceded in death by her husband Roy Hatler, and 2 sisters. She was a retired mail carrier and a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church and the Cave City Eastern Star. She is survived by her son, Dennis Hatler, a granddaughter, Samantha (Kelly) Embry, and a great-grandson, Taylor Smith. Funeral service 1:30 p.m. Sat. at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel with burial in the Hawkins Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Todd Mitchell Booker, 45 of Rocky Hill died November 20, 2014 at his residence.
The Edmonson County native was born August 29, 1969 in Bowling Green KY to Teresa Madison and Ronald Booker who survive. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Virgie and Luther Booker and uncles Brent and Bryan Madison. He served in the United States Navy and the Naval Reserve. He was an E.M.T. and a member of the Rocky Hill Volunteer Fire Department. In recent years, he was the care giver for his grandparents, Flora and Howard Mitchell Madison who survive. Other survivors include a daughter, Hunter Booker of State College PA., one brother Ryan Booker (Leigh) of White House, TN, two sisters, Ronna Cassady (Keith) of Rockfield and Marci Moore (Adam) of Sacramento, CA. Two aunts, Linda Madison (Quentin) and Freda Basham (Bobby) four nieces and one nephews. The Magoffin County native was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Millord Crager and Girlie Neely Crager. She was preceded in death by a son, David Howard and a brother, Grady Crager. Funeral will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Christian Home General Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Wednesday at the church. Linda Nash, 68, of Morgantown passed away at 5:15 AM Nov. 22, 2014 at Morgantown Care and Rehab.
The Edmonson County native was disabled. She was a daughter of the late Mary Vivian Vincent Nash. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Nash. Charlene Johnson, 77, of Brownsville passed away at 2:46 AM Nov. 21, 2014 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Warren County native was a retired sewing machine operator for Kellwood, Brownsville Garment Co. and Phar-Shar and a member of Brownsville General Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Bennie Wilson Sr. and Dorothy Wilson and the wife of the late Garnett Johnson. Funeral will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be1-9 PM Saturday and after 9 AM Sunday. Mildred Sanders Duvall, 81, of Anneta, KY, departed this life on Thursday, November 20, 2014, in Leitchfield. She was born July 29, 1933 in Edmonson Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late Lennie Sanders and the late Martha Carroll Sanders. She was the loving wife of sixty-four years to Ellis Duvall, who survives.
She was a member of Jock United Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is also survived by one son, Ellis “Randy” Duvall (Lisa) of Anneta, KY; six daughters, Barbara Scott (David) of Bedford, TX, Peggy Petredis (Phillip) of Louisville, Rose Mary Goins (Denis) of Bee Spring, Patricia “Pg” Bratcher of Leitchfield, Vanda Rice (Tim) of Owensboro and Anna Majors (Scott) of Caneyville; one sister, Effie Fulkerson of Leitchfield; twelve grandchildren, Paul Goins (Whitney), Kyle Goins (Lauren), Patrick Scott, Carolyn Wasky (John), Tara Scott, Kelly Majors, William Petredis, Kelsey Duvall, J.D. Majors, Holly Rice, Brooke Bratcher and Maitland Rice and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Katie Ann Duvall. Betty L. Houchin, 83 of Brownsville, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, November 14, 2014 in Arcadia, Florida. The Edmonson County native was born on Tuesday, September 22, 1931, the daughter of the late Lennie Lindsey and the late Violet Parsley Lindsey. She was the faithful wife of sixty-seven years to Edward D. Houchin, who survives.
She was a member of Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church. Betty cherished her family and the time they spent together. She was dedicated to her community, church, and a true neighbor and friend. She was the devoted mother to six sons, Terry Houchin (Vicki) of Louisville, KY, Allen Houchin of Scottsville, KY, Tommy Houchin (Lottie) of Brownsville, KY, David "Dink" Houchin of Brownsville, KY, Ronnie Houchin (Teresa) of Brownsville, KY and Ricky Houchin (LaDonna) of Bowling Green, KY; one sister, Evelyn Minton of Louisville, KY; two brothers, David Lindsey of Horse Cave, KY and Don Lindsey of Louisville, KY; twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a twin brother, Thomas Lindsey; a brother, Jim Earl Lindsey; two grandsons, Mark and Kyle Houchin; a granddaughter, Erin York and a daughter-in-law, Martha Houchin. She was a daughter of the late James Lawrence Denham and Lena May Lindsey Denham and the wife of the late Edmond Duvall. She was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Hightower and Billy Hightower; two brothers, Gerald Denham and Neil "Hen" Denham; and a sister, Mildred Meredith. The Warren County native was an OTR truck driver and a pentecostal. He was a son of the late Beckham Boyd Sr. and Lucy Pearl Waters Boyd and the husband of the late Grace Irene Higgs Boyd. Robert J. Hampton, age 47 of Bon Ayr, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at his residence. He was born April 17, 1967 in Glasgow, KY to the late Jessie Lester “Dick” Hampton and the late Marilyn Joann Wagoner Hamblin and was married to Lisa Wells Hampton of Bon Ayr who survives. He was a senior tube mill operator for Felker Brothers and was a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church.

Richard Coates, 90, of Anneta, KY, departed this life on Saturday, November 8, 2014 in Leitchfield, KY.
