Dale Wilkerson age 54, of Cedar Springs, departed this life on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at his residence. The Edmonson County native was born on May 8, 1964 to Arthur “Tom” Thomas and Ruby Wells Wilkerson. He was married to Leta Lindsey Wilkerson, who survives.
Dale was saved at the age of ten at Fairview United Baptist Church. He later joined Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church with his loving wife, Leta. He had a special love for his church family and friends. He was also a member of the Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM. To say that Dale was a hard worker would not put into perspective the work ethic he possessed and handed down to his sons. Beginning at age twelve, his life was dedicated to the family farm until just a few years ago. He then worked in road construction until his passing. Hard work was all he knew. When Dale wasn’t working, he enjoyed gardening, fishing and digging for ginseng. He also had a special bond with his three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Marshall and Whitleigh. Besides his wife and parents he leaves to cherish his memory-- two sons, Clayton Wilkerson (Ashley) of Brownsville and William Wilkerson (Gabrielle) of Louisville; two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Marshall Wilkerson; two sisters, Donna Brooks and Doris Lindsey (Freddie); one step son, Joseph Harper and one step granddaughter, Whitleigh Harper. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Willie Brooks. Interment will be in Liberty Hill Church Cemetery. Jasper was a WWII Army veteran serving overseas and a construction worker. He was the candy man as he loved to give candy to everyone and always had his pockets full. His passion after retirement was fishing, hunting and working in his garden that he grew and gave away. He was saved as a young man at Jock United Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory-- one son, Larry Woodcock (Janette) of Bee Spring; one daughter, Marilyn Lyons (Chuck) of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He cherished his heritage to the Mammoth Cave National Park and his Nordic origins. He was a global traveler and had an affinity for languages, including German, French, and Spanish.

McNeill retired from Edmonson County School System as an administrator. He then owned and operated VanMeter Tax Service, and was a seasonal tour guide at Mammoth Cave National Park. He was a member and former song leader of Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church. McNeill loved southern gospel music, and sang for years with his wife, Billy Poteet, Bertie Saling and Damon Ashley in Bee Spring Quartet. He was also a member of Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge # 355 F&AM, and in his spare time, enjoyed golfing and time spent with his special tom cat, Twin. Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory-- one daughter, Robin VanMeter Crews of Glasgow; one son, Brent VanMeter of Chalybeate; two granddaughters, Alexis and Mallory Crews; one sister, Ronna Sanders (Hulen) of Bee Spring; a niece, Jodi Johnson (Brad) and several other nieces, nephews and friends. Debbie was a genuine example of kindness, generosity, encouragement and unconditional love, and her greatest joys in life were her husband, her children and her grandchildren. A welcoming hostess and life of the party, Debbie loved her garden, sharing her view from the hill and making fun out of every occasion. Frances Loretta Durbin, 88, of Elizabethtown, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville, KY. She was born in Sunfish, KY, to Bethel and Josephine Simon. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Paul Allen Durbin; a son, Steven Alan Durbin; and a great grandson, Chaz Durbin. He was a son of the late Noah York and Bertie Gross York and the husband of the late Anna Louise Meredith York. Raymond V. Madison, age 69, of Louisville, KY, passed away on October 30, 2018 after a long battle with cancer at the Frazier Hospice Center. He was born in Warren County on June 27, 1949 to the late Everette and Lucille Vincent Madison. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Gerald, Charles, Rev. Elzie, David and Joel; brothers-in-law, Ed Minyard and Paul David York; sisters-in-law, Janet Madison and Ruby Madison and a nephew, Danny Minyard. Raymond retired as a truck driver from Dan Cristiani Excavating. He was saved as a young boy of twelve-years-old, and was a member of Poplar Spring United Baptist Church. Later, he became a member of Zion United Baptist Church. Raymond was also a former member of Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM.
