Paulette Brooks Glass, age 72 of Glasgow, departed this life on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Greenview Regional Hospital. The Edmonson County native was born on March 16, 1947 to the late Anson and Alda Williams Brooks. She was married to Freeman Henry Glass, who preceded her in death.
Paulette was a homemaker and a member of Kyrock United Baptist Church. She leaves to honor her memory-- two children, Matthew Glass of Glasgow and Laura Beth Glass of Bowling Green; two brothers, Bobby Brooks of Anneta and Haskel Brooks (Ruby) of Warrenton, MO; five sisters, Barbara Sneed of Glasgow, Valma Hornsby of Anneta, Pam Mills (Steve) of Glasgow, Wilma Evans (Mike) of Sweeden of Kathy Carroll (Keith) of Bee Spring and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by six siblings, Randall Brooks, Douglas Brooks, Larry Brooks, Mary Clark, Eddie Brooks and Ricky Brooks. She was a retired cafeteria worker for Warren County schools and a farmer. Zula was a member of Boiling Springs General Baptist Church and the Women's breakfast club. She loved her flower gardening. McCoy VanMeter, age 75 of Leitchfield, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 22, 2019. The Grayson County native was born March 30, 1944 to the late Tommie VanMeter and Aldee Dowell VanMeter.
McCoy was a brick mason for VanMeter Masonry. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. She was preceded in death by her step father, Ken Moran, step brother, Randy Moran, and mother-in-law, Mary Lou Harper. She was employed at Fruit of the Loom for 35 years. Lisa was a member of Otter Gap Baptist Church and attended Cassidy Free Methodist Church. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Amanda Williams (Nathan); her husband, Steve Meredith; her mother, Faye Moran; one sister, Sherre Long (Tim); one niece, Kim Rynerson (Phil); one nephew, Matt Long; two great nephews, Lincoln and Reed Rynerson; special cousin considered a sister, Sue Johnson Fitzpatrick; her father-in-law, Gerald Meredith (Sue); sister-in-law, Geri Connally (Michael); brother-in-law, Eric Simon; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins and many loving friends.
