Riley Washington Bellamy, 90, of Park City passed away December 29, 2020 at his home. He was born on February 15, 1930 in Barren County to the late G.W. and Emma Simpson Bellamy. He was married to the late Josephine “Josie” Cannon Bellamy.
Riley was a Farmer and a member of Woodland Baptist Church. He was a US Marine veteran. The Edmonson County native was a retired General Motors employee, a US Marine veteran of the Korean War, a member of Nisbet Alexander Post 6937 Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of Asphalt Church of Christ. He was a son of the late Silas O. Kinser and Effie Mae Ashley Kinser. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Kinser; four brothers, Malcolm "Doc" Kinser, Norman Kinser, Leroy Kinser and Eddie Kinser; and three sisters, Marjorie Ellis, Millie Self and Eva Kinser. Gloria was one of eight children born to the late Riley and Maggie Ashley Kinser in the Segal community of Edmonson County. She was a devoted Christian, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother and loved caring for and spending time with her family. Gloria was a realtor and a member of Portland Avenue Church of Christ and worshipped and served her Lord there for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack Kinser, James Lavon Kinser and Ronnie Kinser; and three sisters, Shirley Callender, Gaudis McGrew and Irene Skaggs. She was a loyal friend, and thoroughly enjoyed visiting at the Hill Top Restaurant and Brownsville Karaoke. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. Lavonne was a member of Fairview United Baptist Church. In the early 1950’s, Mr. Lobb was a U.S. Navy electronics technician first class aboard the destroyer escort USS Daniel A. Joy. He returned home to Park City and opened his own business in electronics and television repair. He later moved his business to Brownsville, where he also became co-owner in the first cable t.v. system, until he sold out and retired in 1998. He was also a founding member and captain of the Rescue Squad in Park City. Mr. Lobb was saved at the age of 16, and was of the Baptist faith. Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory-- three sons, Dwayne Lobb (Laura), Boyd Lobb (Carrie) and Thomas Willoughby; five daughters, Connie Masterson, Emily Hendricksen (Nathan), Donna Vincent (Ronnie), Mary St. Onge (Roger) and Rosa Stewart (Tommy); thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of friends. The Edmonson County native was born on June 20, 1944 to the late Ben L. and Geneva Lily Vincent Decker. She was married to Robert Franklin “Frank” Spainhoward, who preceded her in death.
Linda was a homemaker, and enjoyed caring for her family. In her later years, she worked as a greeter at Walmart. Linda was a member of New Salem General Baptist Church. She leaves to honor her memory-- two sons, Eric Spainhoward (Lesley) and Brad Spainhoward (Ashley) all of Chalybeate; five daughters, Sheila Pike (Tim) of Lindseyville, Aimee Luis (Rodrigo) of Bowling Green, Ailson Fillingham (Jon) of Brownsville, Jenny Spainhoward of Anneta and Bridget Basham (Michael) of Sweeden; eleven grandchildren, Josh Webb (Jessica), Jonathan Webb, Sawyer Spainhoward, Griffin Spainhoward, Layke Sanders, Ethan Luis, Owen Still, Ava Luis, Ellie Claire Spainhoward, Charly Beville and Kansas Basham; two great-grandchildren, Ty Webb and Stella Webb; one brother, Benny Decker (Karen) of Brownsville along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Donna Sue Prunty. Interment will be in Brownsville Cemetery.
