Benjamin “Ben” Jaggers, age 75 of Bowling Green, KY, passed from the loving arms of his wife and daughter into eternal care of our Lord on December 9, 2018 at the UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, KY. Ben was born in Edmonson County, KY on July 1, 1943 to the late Irvin VanBuren and Virginia Frances Sturdivant Jaggers. He was married to the love of his life, his best friend and soulmate MaryAnne Neville Jaggers, who survives. They were inseparable—truly one flesh.
Ben was a Christian, a member of Lehman Avenue Church of Christ where he proudly served on the building committee. He was a professional real estate developer,the president of Music Village, USA, Vice-president of Tourism for Hendersonville, TN Chamber of Commerce, owned various businesses and served on many boards. For many years, he sang baritone in the southern Kentucky gospel quartet, The Kinsmen. Besides his wife, he leaves to cherish and honor his memory, one daughter, his beloved Karyn Leigh Jaggers Gifford of Nashville; two grandchildren, Brittain Gifford and Hope Anne Gifford Davidson (Brandon); one great granddaughter, Ayvah Faith Davidson; very special niece, Kimberly Anne Danna (Larry); three brothers, Dean Jaggers (Hazel), Dale Jaggers (Deborah) and Corlett Jaggers (Wandalene) and two sisters, Lavetta Wolfe (Gary) and Glenda Jaggers; uncle, R.W. Sturdivant (Gloria); aunt, Mady Cline and many cousins. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Wetzel and Wilma Wilson, and a brother-in-law, Jerry Wetzel; father-in-law, Charles Blakeman Neville; mother-in-law, Emily Neville; brother-in-law, Charles Blakeman “Blake” Neville, Jr. and sister-in-law, Ina Ruth Neville DeFrees. Ben was truly an amazing man, a very happy man. When you think of him, be happy.
