Carolyn Ann Miller of Jacksonville, FL went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 22, 2024 surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born Nov. 22, 1946 in Louisville, KY. She was a daughter of the late Marvin E. Miller and Mary Evelyn Meredith Miller. She spent her early years in Kentucky, and in 1984 relocated to Jacksonville to start her federal career at NAS Jacksonville. She finished her Associate in Applied Science Degree in Information Systems Technology Specializing in Networking. She later retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers in Ft. Myer, VA,
Carolyn became a Christian at an early age, and held the Lord in her heart for her whole life. She was a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), the Mandarin Magnolia Garden Club and the Order of the Eastern Star of Kentucky Chapter 279 Rocky Hill, KY. She had a great love for animals- especially dogs, and she rescued and fostered several during her lifetime. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday May 3, 2025 at Heritage Centre, 503 Washington Street in Brownsville with burial to follow in Brownsville Cemetery. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Surviving are her children, Linda Williams (Larry), Denise Tarrance and Mark Tarrance (Melissa); grandchildren, Jennifer Goodwin, Laurean Oltmanns (Justin), Brad Williams, Eric Terracciano (Jannah) and Hannah Tarrance; great grandchildren, Wyatt Oltmanns, Rowan Oltmanns, Giovanni Terracciano and Julianna Terracciano; three sisters, Maurita Miller, Marla Miller-Shade (Greg) and Elaine Miller; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful furry companion, Dilly.
