Deloris Marie Harris Glass, age 77 of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 29, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Simpson County. She worked at Fruit of the Loom and was a Housewife and Homemaker. A Member of the Richardsville Church of Christ. Marie as she was known as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and 'Mamaw'. She was loved by many who called her 'Momma' and 'Mamaw'. Marie loved them doing so and was honored. Her nieces and nephews lovingly called her Aunt Marie. Our lives and many others were made better by just knowing her and being loved by her. Marie is preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Hedgecough, step-fathers, Wylie Hedgecough and Hobert Powell. Brother Billy Harris, Father and mother-in-law, George and Julia Glass. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Glass; her children, Wendell Glass (Teresa), Tony Glass (Kelly) all of Bowling Green; Janet Hudson (Steve) and Lori Burns (Michael) both of Auburn; sister, Teresa Hedgecough; brothers, Anthony Powell and Michael Powell; grandchildren, Ciera, J.T. Burns (Montana), Brittany Massey (Austin), Zachary Burns, and Hanna Vincent (Cody). Great grandchildren, Rylan Phillips, Camden Strain, Liberty Burns, William Burns, Jaxon Vincent, Annie Massey, Silas Burns and Ava Massey. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday and after 9:00 am Tuesday, with the Funeral service starting at 1:00 pm Tuesday all at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ Cemetery. Comments are closed.
