In Loving Memory of Diana Decker Hazel
Diana Decker Hazel, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was an Edmonson County native and was born and raised in Lindseyville, Kentucky, to the late Arlie Decker and Mariah Browning Decker. Diana and her husband, Dwayne, shared a devoted marriage and career. They worked for Orkin Enterprises ultimately owning their own successful branch in Tuscaloosa, Alabama before retiring home to Kentucky. Diana accepted Christ into her heart at the age of 12 at Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Diana was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her meticulous eye for decorating, and the pride and joy she took in caring for her home. She was a lifelong UK Basketball fan and carried a youthful spirit that never faded. Her strength and resilience were remarkable, and admired by all. Diana is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Dwayne; her daughters, Melanie (Todd) Napier and Robynn (Trent) Madison; and her cherished grandchildren, Katie (Jesse) Brown, Curtis (Kaitlyn) Napier, and Erin Napier. She also leaves behind her brothers, William Decker (Joyce) and Bart Decker, five great-grandchildren, and four special nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Brently VanMeter and brother Dwight Decker. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hallie Davidson for her care and support, she is a true angel on Earth. Services have been entrusted to J. C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 14th from 04:00 p.m. until 08:00 p.m. with a funeral service on Friday May 15th, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Archie Newman Wilson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in Diana's honor to Archie Newman Wilson Cemetery. Comments are closed.
