Donald M. Skaggs, 91

Donald M. Skaggs, age 91, of Fairborn, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 08, 2016 at Kindred Hospital. He was born the son of Noah & Elizabeth (McCrady) Skaggs on August 15, 1924 in Brownsville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Blanche Demunbrun and Lillian Whittle, brothers Stinson, Kenneth, and Warner Skaggs, and a great granddaughter Addison.

Donald is survived by his loving and devoted wife Dorothy Skaggs; two sons Donald (Shirley) Skaggs and Jeffrey Skaggs; grandchildren Donald “Trey” (Joanne) Skaggs, Brian (Lisa) Skaggs, Kellie (Brian) Meeks, and Joshua Skaggs; ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Donald served his country proudly with the Army Air Corp. during World War II receiving the Purple Heart. He was retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a senior logistician after 38 years of dedicated service. He was a longtime member and past deacon at Fairborn First Baptist Church. He was also a 32nd degree Mason. Donald was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who love him.
