Dorothy Lee French White, 90, of Huff passed away peacefully with family by her side Feb. 2, 2026 at Edmonson Center.
The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and a 1953 graduate of Sunfish High School. She was a daughter of the late Dennis French and Lula Duvall French and the wife of the late James Curtis “Curt” White. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary White and a brother, Kenneth French. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday at South Union General Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will take place 1:00-7:00 PM Friday, 10:00 AM-7:00 PM Saturday and 10:00 AM-12:00 PM Sunday at Gravil Funeral Home. Surviving are two daughters, Beverly White Collard (Earl Jent) of Louisville and Robin Joy Grey (Greg) of Mt. Zion; a son, Jimmy White (Tonya) of Huff; a daughter-in-law, Maxine White of Sunfish; two sisters, Lucille Tarrence (Amel) of Elizabethtown and Rose Mae Meredith (Marvin) of Horse Cave; nine grandchildren, James Collard (Rin), Cameron Collard, Ben Grey (Kristin), Rachel Bagshaw (Jarad), Ian White, Emma White, Eli White, Kyle White (Heather) and Kayla Basham (Tyler); 11 Great Grandchildren, Liam, Vivi, Heidi, Lenna, Silas, Knox, Honor, Khitt, Brooks, Lukas and Maggie; a sister-in-law, Lois French of Sellersburg, IN. and several nieces and nephews.
