Elaine Hudson Meinhardt, 77

Elaine Hudson Meinhardt passed away on October 1, 2024, at the age of 77. She was born on August 30, 1947, to Lola and Hubert Hudson. She was married to her devoted husband of nearly 57 years, Bill Meinhardt, who survives.

Elaine was known for being a loving mother and wife who loved to fish and swim with her children.  She also loved to crotchet, cross stitch, and be with her friends.  She was simple in the things she enjoyed in life. She loved to laugh and make others laugh.

Besides her husband, she leaves to honor her memory-- her son Billy (Melissa) Meinhardt of Chalybeate,  daughter Jenny Davis (Wes),  also of Chalybeate, grandchildren Hilary Meinhardt, Meredith (Austin), Cody Meinhardt (Alex), and Ryann Davis, and great-grandchildren Kaynon and Avery Meredith.

Elaine also leaves behind her siblings Teresa Kelien (David) of Louisville, and Shelia Madison (David) of Sweeden.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Chalybeate United Baptist Church, located at 658 Chalybeate School Rd, Smiths Grove, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with funeral service at 10AM on Saturday.

Internment will be at Kinser Cemetery in Chalybeate.
