John Earl Vincent, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Edmonson County native was born on March 29, 1950 to the late Earl M. and Media Vincent. He was married to his wife, Arless Page Vincent, until they were parted by her passing on October 25, 2025.
John Earl lived a life defined by quiet strength, honesty, and a deep devotion to those he loved. Known for his gentle spirit and steady nature, John Earl was a man others could always depend on. He possessed a strong work ethic that guided him throughout his life, spending many dedicated years as a skilled mechanic before retiring from Equipment Depot. His work was more than a job—it was a passion. Whether on the clock or in his own time, John Earl found true satisfaction in fixing and restoring vehicles, taking pride in doing things right and standing by his word. Outside of work, John Earl delighted in simple pleasures. He especially enjoyed visiting flea markets, where he could hunt for a good deal or uncover a hidden treasure. These outings brought him great joy and reflected his curious, down-to-earth nature. A member of Jock United Baptist Church, John Earl valued his church family and found the most comfort, love and peace when they were permitted to be gathered together. He leaves to honor his memory— his son, Thomas Vincent (Brandy M.) of Brownsville, and his siblings, Mazie Vincent of Brownsville, Mary Lou Belleshiem (Nelson) of Texas, and Ezra Vincent (Connie) of Chalybeate. Besides his wife and parents, Arless, Earl and Media, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Jamie Vincent. The interment will be in Jock Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Jock Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Brian Ashley.
