John Robert “Bobby” Coates, age 65

John Robert “Bobby” Coates, age 65 of Park City, KY departed this life on Monday, January 16, 2023 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.  The Edmonson County native was born on June 20, 1957 to the late Robert L. and Lottie Nash Coates. 

Bobby constructed mausoleums for many years.  He was a member of Fairview General Baptist Church, and also attended Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

He leaves to honor his memory— his daughter, Brandi N. Ginter (Josh) of Spring Creek, NY; grandchildren, Layne Nichole Irene Ginter and River William James Ginter; siblings, Ronald Coates of Park City, Donald Coates (Kathy) of Park City, Frances Ashley of Horse Cave, Helen Nester (Dave) of Park City, Mary Cutliff (Robert) of Murfreesboro, TN, Linda Draper of Alabama and Patricia Toms (Stephen) of Glasgow.  He was also preceded in death by his grandchildren, Eve Anne Marie Ginter and Walker Gregory Robert Ginter, along with his brother, James R. Coates. 

A graveside service will be scheduled at a later date at Liberty Hill Church Cemetery.
