 Larry Jones, age 68, of Big Reedy, departed this life on Monday, January 25, 2016, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. He was born on April 22, 1947 in Clarkson, KY to the late Callie and Sudie Mae (Boone) Jones and was married to Diane Woosley Jones, who survives.
He graduated from Clarkson High School, Class of 1966. He was inducted into the Army soon after, and served our country for two years-- one of which was in Vietnam. He worked for Leitchfield Transfer as a truck driver for over 25 years. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Christi Jones Yoakem; son-in-law, Jason Yoakem all of Big Reedy, KY; sister, Sue Wilkerson (Thomas) of Louisville, KY; brother, Buck Jones (Frances) of Big Clifty, KY; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins; his best friend “Buddy”, and many friends. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Jean Skaggs and Totise Edwards and nephews, Mike Skaggs and Kendall Edwards.
