Linda Kay Saling, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, departed this life peacefully on October 1, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her cherished family. She was born on May 4, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky to Stoy and Barbara Jaggers, and she lived a life that radiated kindness, love, and unwavering faith. She was married to her devoted husband of forty-nine years, Mike Saling, who survives.
Linda was dedicated to her work as a loan operations assistant at the Bank of Edmonson County, where she was known for her exceptional service and commitment. Before joining the bank, she spent many years at Wilkes Clinic and PrimeCare Medicine Associates, where she made lasting connections with both colleagues and patients alike. Linda was a faithful member of Cove Hollow United Baptist Church. As a true embodiment of virtue and strength, Linda could be described by the verse in Proverbs 31:10, "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies." She was a woman of profound faith, deeply rooted in her Christian values, which guided her through life and inspired those around her. Outside of her church and work, Linda had a passion for seeking unique antiques and treasures, a pursuit that brought her much joy. However, her greatest delight came from spending time with her family. The moments she shared with her children and grandchildren filled her heart with happiness. Linda's legacy of love will surely shine brightly through those she leaves behind. Besides her husband, Mike, she leaves to honor her memory-- her children, Jeremy Saling and his wife Cindy, and Ashley Doyle and her husband Andrew; and her grandchildren, Regan Woodcock and her husband Dakota, Keaton Saling, and Keylee McCoy and her husband Brady. Linda also leaves behind her mother, Barbara Hillard Jaggers; her sister, JoAnn Cassady and her husband Donald; her nephew, Craig Cassady and his wife Erica, along with several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Each of these relationships held a special place in Linda’s heart, and they will deeply miss her gentle spirit. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Stoy Jaggers, who embraced her with love throughout her life. Interment will be in Cove Hollow Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to: Cove Hollow Cemetery Fund, c/o Mike Saling.
