M.A. Napier, age 85 of Bowling Green, departed this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green. The Allen County native was born on August 17, 1938 to the late Maxie and Evelyn Sullivan Napier. He was married to his loving wife, Clara Bewley Napier, until they were parted by her passing on March 22, 2024.
M.A. worked for many years as a mechanic for Parrish Auto Parts, and also enjoyed working on his farm. He and his wife were devoted members and pillars of Chalybeate United Baptist Church. He leaves to honor his memory— his children, Shelia Sullivan (Dennis) of Bowling Green and James Napier of Chalybeate; five grandchildren, Jennifer Vincent (Jeremy), David Sullivan (Angela), Amber Webb (Chris), Dustan Napier and Cassie Larson; four great-grandchildren, Colton, Lillie and Easton Webb and Hannah Vincent; two brothers, Bennie Napier (Judy) and Gordon Napier (Sharon); special caregiver, Brenda Bright, along with several nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him. Besides his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by a twin brother, T.A. Napier, and sisters, Joyce McIver and Nancy Walker. Interment will be in Kinser Cemetery.
