Melvin Jerry Massey, Age 71

Melvin Jerry Massey, 71, of Huff passed away at 3:19 PM August 6, 2022 at his home.
 
The Edmonson County native was a paver operator for Scotty’s Construction, a US Army veteran of Vietnam and a Baptist. He was a son of the late Mood Massey and Alta Cardwell Massey. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Peggy E. Massey and Sarah Beth Massey; a sister, Jeanetta Doyle; and seven brothers, C.J., Lemuel, Darris, Roy, Edgar, Alvin and Denny Massey.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Doyle Cemetery. Visitation will take place 4-8 PM Wednesday and 10:00 AM-8:00 PM Thursday.
 
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Raymer Massey; three sons, Troy Lashley (Cherie) of Bowling Green and Jerry L. Massey and Bradley Massey both of Roundhill; a sister, Matha Jean Davis (Terry) of Bowling Green; and four grandchildren, Brandon Massey, Kay Massey, Christina Massey and Zoe Shores.
