Mildred Harp Webb, age 82 of Sweeden, departed this life on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Edmonson Center in Brownsville. The Edmonson County native was born on August 27, 1940 to the late Theodore “Jack” and Effie Harp. Mildred was married to Walter Edward Webb for 56 years until he preceded her in death in 2013.
Mildred was a member of Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church. She retired as a records clerk for the Barren River District Health Department, worked for the United States Postal Service and worked on their family farm. She leaves to honor her memory— daughters, Sherry Williams (Edd) of Sweeden and Sheila Lindsey (C.D.) of Brownsville; sons, Teddy Webb (Lisa) of Sweeden, Eddie Webb (Renee) of Lindseyville and Wilmer “Will” Webb (Delana) of Cave City; fourteen grandchildren, Jonathan Williams (Whitney), Jessica Madison (Travis), Christopher Webb (Amber), Andrew Webb (Ashlee), Leslie Webb, Brandon Andress, Katie Duvall, Makayla Duvall, Zack Webb, Shaun Cooper (Jenna), Lindsay Cooper, Brayden Wilson, Robin Coots (Dale) and Tyra Palmer (Justin); siblings, Marilyn Gray Vincent and Gary Harp, nineteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she was also proceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Bro. Ed Harp, daughter-in-law, Roxie Ann Webb and in-laws, Clyde and Lillie Webb.
