Nola Higgs, 71, of Segal passed away peacefully with family by her side at 8:23 P.M June 8th, 2023, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and a professional cook at Laura’s Stockyard Café and the Chalybeate Food Mart. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Mildred Vincent. She was preceded in death by her first husband Teddy Higgs; her second husband Gerald Higgs; a sister, Hilda Higgs; a brother, Bobby Vincent; a son-in-law, Rick Russell; a brother-in-law, Eddie Higgs; two sisters-in-law, Judy Alford and Eirlene Dexter; a mother and father-in-law, Cova and Phlemon Higgs; a great niece, Alicia Vincent; a great nephew, Baby Higgs. Visitation services will take place from 1:00 P.M Sunday until the funeral service at 2:00 P.M Monday. All services will be held at Red Hill General Baptist Church. The burial will take place at Doyle Cemetery. Surviving are her two daughters, Sharon Elmore (Joe) and Amanda Crow (Scott); three sons, Terry Higgs, Kevin Higgs (Mary), and Lavon Higgs; her best friend, Francis Woodcock; a sister, Rita Vincent; eleven grandchildren, Richard Russell, Maranda Petrovic (Dragen), Teddy Higgs, Alex Perkins (Cahari), Brett Higgs, Zakary Haycraft, Emily Haycraft, Colby Higgs (Morgan), Cheyenne Higgs, and Amber Brown; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
