Nora Mae Poynter, age 88, of Park City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Sellersburg Health and Rehab in Sellersburg, IN. The Edmonson County native was born on July 9, 1933 to the late Raymond and Della Meredith Waddell.
Nora Mae was saved as a little girl at Cherry Springs Missionary Baptist Church in the same revival as her two sisters, Dora and Elva, and remained a member until her death. She retired after twenty-five years from General Electric as an assembly line worker. She leaves to honor her memory-- a son, Paul Kerr of Crestwood, KY; four daughters, Carolyn “Dug” Rhoton (Farrel) of Harned, KY, Wilma Allen (Gary) of Smiths Grove KY, Debbie Kerr (Curtis) of Eighty Eight, KY and Leann Warren (Duwayne) of Shepherdsville, KY; seven grandchildren, Marquita Allen (Bud), Alicia Woods, Jason Matthews, Amy Love, Andrea Mae Kerr, Ashley Warren and Brenda Wease (Brian); ten great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren, and one sister, Blanche Kelman (Sollie) of Louisville, KY. She was also proceeded in death by one grandson, Brian Rhoton; three sisters, Elva Marie Vincent, Flora Waddle and Dora Cosby and three brothers, Preston, Laymon and Wayne Waddle.
