Olena Nadeane Nugent Gravil, 80, of Brownsville passed away at 6:45 PM May 5, 2015 at Edmonson Care and Rehab.
The Edmonson County native was co-founder of Gravil Funeral Home, assistant postmaster at Brownsville Post Office, a seamstress, a graduate of Leitchfield High School and a member of Asphalt Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Essie F. Smith and Alma Priddy Smith and the wife of the late Bill Nugent and the late Bert Gravil. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Otis, Oliver, Osa and Oble Smith; and three sisters, Ollie Belle Rich, Vera Smith and Charlene Smith.
Funeral will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brownsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 AM-9 PM Friday and after 9 AM Saturday.
Surviving are three sons, Greg Nugent (Lydia) and Roy Gravil (Mechille) both of Brownsville and Wymon Gravil (Shauna) of Bee Spring; a daughter, Nena Gravil of Nashville; and seven grandchildren, Tyler Gravil, Corey Gravil, Julia Savage, Kelsie Gravil, Austin Lemieux, Dylan Lemieux and Xavier Gravil.
