Phil Lindsey, age 62, of Bee Spring, KY, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, October 6, 2016. The Edmonson County native was born on June 2, 1954, to the late Willie E. Lindsey and Gitana Huffman Lindsey, who survives. He was married to his devoted wife of forty-one years, Carol Stewart Lindsey. Phil was a Safety Manager for Ohio County Balefill, former employee of Pyramid Mining and former Director of Edmonson County Ambulance Service. He was a faithful member of Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church and also belonged to the Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM. Phil was saved at Kyrock and truly loved his church and his family. He was a true friend and neighbor. He leaves to honor his memory his wife, Carol Stewart Lindsey of Bee Spring; two daughters, Laura Cunningham (Warren) of Chalybeate and Leanne Pierce (Kyle) of Bee Spring; three grandchildren, Lilly and Evan Cunningham and Kylen Pierce; his mother, Gitana Lindsey, his mother-in-law, Mary Ann Stewart of Bee Spring and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Rita Raymer. Interment will be in Sweeden Cemetery.
