Richard Owen Lindsey, 67, of Millwood passed away August 29, 2025 at his residence.
Richard was born in Louisville, Ky. and attended Sunny Point General Baptist Church in earlier years. He began working as a roofer at the young age of seven and this became his occupation. He was self employed with Richard Lindsey Roofing for many years. An avid collector of antiques and artifacts, Richard enjoyed classic cars, especially his “loud” truck and spending time with his family while hunting and fishing. He was the son of the late Walter Lindsey and Grace Irene Higgs Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Grace Lindsey and Michelle Lindsey Neff; a sister, Mary Gayle Johnson; and a brother, James Allen Lindsey. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sunny Point Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Wednesday. Surviving are a son, Daimien Basham (Crystal) of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Daimien Basham Jr., Regina Basham, Daniel Basham, and Saddie Basham; one great grandchild, Princeton Basham; two sisters, LaGretta Sanchez (Pedro) and Ruby Beckwith; six nieces, Vanessa Sanchez, Selina Kingg, Sonya Slinkard, Krystle Alicea, Jennifer Richardson, and Michelle Brito; three nephews, Pedro Sanchez Jr., Walter Redmon, and Samuel Beckwith Jr.; his best friend, Christopher Key; and his beloved dogs, Lilly and Baby Girl and several extended family members.
