Robert E. “Kink” Carney, age 63 of Cave City, departed this life on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. The Radcliff, KY native was born on August 21, 1958 to the late Ivan and Dorothy Burnett Carney.
Robert was the owner/operator of Carney’s Body Shop and Auto Sales since 1978. He was known in the area as an excellent auto body repair man. Through the years, his love and passion for first generation muscle cars led him to collecting various, beautiful cars. He leaves to honor his memory— daughter, Chasta Martin (Chris) of Canmer; two sons, Ryan and Carson Carney of Cave City; his partner, Angela Bailey of Cave City; three grandsons, Garrett Tyler Dennison, Austin Martin and Caymen Martin of Canmer; two brothers, Larry Carney of Bowling Green and Gary Carney (Zelda) of Cave City; four sisters, Imogene Carney of Gallatin, TN, Lucinda Carney of Lebanon, TN, Sandra Alexander (Max) of Bowling Green and Nancy Carney of Springfield, TN; several nieces, nephews and decades of friends. Interment will be in Cave City Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to: St. Jude's Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
