Virginia Lou McPeak, age 69 of Brownsville, departed this life on Friday, November 22 , 2019 at her residence. The Edmonson County native was born on October 18, 1950 to Bertie Denham Johnson of Brownsville and the late Bro. William Johnson. She was married to Kenneth Ray McPeak, who survives.
Virginia was a retired production line worker for Country Oven and was a member of Oak Grove United Baptist Church. Besides her husband and mother, she leaves to honor her memory-- one daughter, Melissa Grider (Billy) of Brownsville; one son, Jimmy McPeak (Lori) of Salem, IN; five grandchildren, Jeremy McPeak (Michelle), Amy Hoskison (Josh), Lindsey McPeak, Emily Grider and C.J. Grider; five great grandchildren, Tyler Hoskison, Tatum Hoskison, Lilly McPeak, Joe McPeak and Liam Lightner; two brothers, Roland Johnson (Mary) and William Earl Johnson (Sherry); three sisters, Vernice Childress (Elmo), Alpha Lindsey (Lonard) and Bertie Evelyn Deweese (Larry); one brother-in-law, Jerry Clay Vincent; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one son, Joey McPeak; one brother, James Leonard Johnson and one sister, Linda Kay Vincent. Interment will be in Oak Grove Church Cemetery.
