Letter To The Editor: Thank You To Sheriff's Office During Escaped Prisoner Search

Dear Edmonson Voice,
I just want to thank the sheriff's department and staff for their hard work on Thursday keeping our children safe and making them feel safe. I have 5 kids in school, all in 4 different schools. Having a son that has bad anxiety and panic attacks , I wondered all day how he made it. I wasn't concerned about his safety, because I knew our EC Sheriff's department would be on top of everything. I appreciate having him come home, and letting me know that he never once got nervous due to him seeing a cop walking around the school.

I know they often get negative feedback no matter how hard they work, so I just want them to know they deserve a pat on the back and a big thank you, along with the school staff for their work throughout the day. It was just nice knowing he had a good day, and didn't have a panic attack.
