We recently published a letter to the editor from a reader who voiced his concerns with our local baseball and softball division of Parks and Rec. As you can imagine, it prompted quite a response from our readers and we featured the topic in our recent weekly poll.
We've received several comments and emails asking us to give more options for the poll question. Since adding more choices on the poll might be a bit confusing, we're asking you to send us an email with any questions or concerns you have. These emails will not be published, nor will we use your name. We will not answer any emailed questions directly, we are simply gathering more information for an in-depth feature we are currently writing on the subject to be published within the next couple of weeks. We are conducting interviews with county officials, Parks and Rec officials, umpires, board members, and coaches. We want to hear and cover all sides objectively. If you have a question or concern, now is the time to speak up...the folks who are in charge in this matter want to hear from you. We reported that the Edmonson County Fiscal Court, Judge Executive, and Director of Parks and Rec are currently working together to address some of the previously discussed issues. Some of the officials have asked us to provide a summary of readers' opinions and concerns to possibly be discussed at the next Fiscal Court meeting. We ask that you continue to follow our forum and commenting rules, 1. no profanity 2. no personal attacks of any kind 3. no wrongful accusations or knowingly posting incorrect or inaccurate information. Please click here to send your comment, question, or concern to us. Thanks for letting your voice be heard and for reading the Edmonson Voice. Darren Doyle, Editor
