Peytin Manor, story and photos: On Monday, April 20th, Abigail Hogg, an Edmonson County High School senior signed a letter of intent to play golf and cheer for Campbellsville University, an NAIA university located in Campbellsville, Kentucky. She is the daughter of Melinda and Caleb Hogg and plans to pursue a major in business administration with an emphasis in marketing as well as a minor in theology. During her time at ECHS, Abigail competed as a three-sport athlete for golf, cheer, and softball, while maintaining a 4.205 GPA. She played golf for six years and was on the cheer team for three. In golf, Abigail earned first place at the 2A State Qualifier in both 2024 and 2025 and was a Kentucky Super Preps nominee in 2025. She also qualified for the KHSAA State Tournament in 2023.
As a cheerleader, she was named a 12th District All-District Cheerleader in 2025 and was selected as a Kentucky Super Preps nominee that same year. Her sister, Makayla, is a member of the Campbellsville softball team. Beyond tournaments or competitions, Abigail also excelled in the classroom, earning KHSAA All-Academic First Team honors from 2022 through 2026. She was also recognized as a KHSAA Triple Threat athlete from 2023 to 2026, an honor awarded to student-athletes who compete in three sports while maintaining strong academic performance.
