Edmonson Voice Sports:
The Wildcats were roughed up by Hart County Friday night in Munfordville in a big 41-13 district loss.
Things looked promising as the Wildcats struck on their first possession as Jonathan Hollis pushed into the end zone less than a minute into the game. The extra point was no good but Edmonson took a 6-0 lead.
Hart County answered as the quarter came to a close as the Raiders scored on two-yard touchdown pass. The extra point gave Hart the lead at 7-6 with less than minute to go in the first. The Raiders would never trail again.
The Raiders extended their lead in the second quarter as quarterback John Shoulders scored on a couple of touchdowns and Hart County led 21-6 at the half.
Neither team scored in the third quarter but Hart County's Shoulders got his passing game going with a 27-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Devin Roten with 8:41 left in the fourth, then again with less than four minutes to go as the Wildcats faced a 34-6 deficit.
Hart County once again extended their lead with a short run from senior running back Daveon Wood with 2:47 to go and the Raiders led 41-6.
On the Wildcat's next possession, quarterback Jon Smith then launched a 60-yard touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Chance Lucas to allow Edmonson to end the lop-sided game on somewhat of a positive note. The Wildcats added the extra point for a final score of 41-13.
The Wildcats finished the game with 33 rushes for 81 yards, and completed 7 of 19 passing attempts at 123 yards for a total of 204 yards of offense. They also threw for one interception.
