It was pretty much an even match as ECHS faced a 5 point deficit at halftime, 47-42. It was a very solid performance from the Lady Cats, they simply fell a bit short. Wildcats 79, Eagles 65 At the boys game, EC fans saw the Cats take control in the second half as they defeated the Eagles 79-65. ECHS started off in the hole again, a problem that they've experienced many times this season, as the Eagles jumped out to a 19-13 lead. The Cats pulled to within three at halftime with the score 32-29. The momentum shifted back to EC in the third as the boys outscored Ohio County 26-18, putting the Cats on top, 55-50. A slam dunk by Chase Turley, a quick steal, and another Turley basket caused the fans to erupt and the Cats never looked back. Offensively, the Wildcats were led by Dakota Woodcock with 20 points and 5 assists. He also shot 92% from the free throw line, going 11-12.
