Moriah Peterson, (mpeterson@edmonsonvoice.com), story and photos: Families, friends and onlookers gathered together Thursday evening in the Edmonson County High School auditorium to watch the 2017 Miss Edmonson County, the 2017 Little Miss Edmonson County, the 2017 Little Miss Edmonson County Fair, the 2017 Tiny Miss Edmonson County and the 2017 Tiny Miss Edmonson County Fair be crowned. A local winner and state winner were crowned and a total of 51 girls competed for these titles this year. The winners are listed below: 2017 Miss Edmonson County - Ashleigh Nicole Arnold, daughter of Tina Arnold of Bee Spring. 1st Runner Up - Caitlin Daniele, daughter of Amanda Coniglio and Mike Daniele of Mammoth Cave. 2nd Runner Up - Madison Kemble, daughter of James and Laura Kemble of Smiths Grove. 3rd Runner Up - Kailee Duvall, daughter of Benny Duvall and Stacey Higgs of Brownsville. (Miss Edmonson County Fair is scheduled for Sat, Sept 9). 2017 Little Miss Edmonson County Fair - Layla-Kate Ellis, daughter of Dustin and Emily Ellis of Brownsville. 2017 Little Miss Edmonson County - Bristol Butler, daughter of James and Destiny Butler of Mammoth Cave. 1st Runner Up - Emma Lynn Hayes, daughter of Morgan Haycraft and Matt Hayes of Leitchfield. 2nd Runner Up - Shaylee Marie Hampton, daughter of Selina Linder and Craig Hampton. 3rd Runner Up - Hannah Claire Cassady, daughter of Kyle and Staffanne Cassady of Chalybeate. 2017 Tiny Miss Edmonson County Fair - Charly June Beville, daughter of Bridget L Beville and Jonathan Beville of Sweeden. 2017 Tiny Miss Edmonson County - Emma Kay Jaggers, daughter of Matt and Ashlee Jaggers of Sweeden. 1st Runner Up - Jocelyn Nicole Decker, daughter of Jason and Jennifer Decker of Brownsville. 2nd Runner Up - Bryleigh Elizabeth Self, daughter of Jimmie and Bonnie Self of Brownsville. 3rd Runner Up - Audrey Mae Gulley, daughter of Lauren Stevenson and Kyle Gulley of Leitchfield. In each category, the Edmonson County Fair winner will go on to compete in state competition. The Edmonson County winner is always a local contestant; however, nearly all of this year's contestants were local residents. Pageants are scheduled to continue on Saturday night and featured events will be: Miss Pre-Teen, Miss Teen, and Miss Edmonson County Fair. **note: Little Miss Edmonson County winner Layla Kate Ellis is pictured holding the wrong award plate. According to the fair pageant committee, the plates were accidentally switched at the time of the photo.**
