About Us:
In 2014, a local professional musician and multimedia creator decided to build Edmonson County's first online news organization after learning that the county's longtime printed newspaper owner was making plans to retire. Soon after, owner Darren Doyle launched EdmonsonVoice.com and it quickly became the number one source for local news and information in the county.
The Edmonson Voice, or the VOICE, as it quickly became known, was an immediate success because the network focused on Edmonson County. While sometimes we report events and happenings from other counties, we do so only if we feel that there will be a local impact.
Our owner and staff members live and work right here in Edmonson County. We stay connected to our community because that's the only way a true local news outlet can provide the local information you need. Even though the pace of life might be a bit slower in Edmonson County, folks here still want local news and information as it becomes available, not a week or more later.

We are a full time, respected news organization that works hard to keep you informed of local happenings that affect our area. We have around 15,000 weekly readers, (tracked by Google Analytics) which tells us that the majority of Edmonson County really likes what we do.
We are funded strictly through advertising and we charge modest fees to run personal and business ads for the public. This allows us to be able to provide access to our news website without a subscription fee.
We're proud to have an exclusive agreement with Edmonson County High School where we are the only local news outlet licensed by the school to carry live video and audio broadcasts of ECHS Football and boys and girls basketball. We hope to include even more sports in the future.
We have built excellent relationships with our community leaders, business owners, local organizations, and our schools. This allows us access to local information faster than any other news source, and we work hard to be fair and accurate.
We strive to keep our opinions out of the news, as we believe our readers are more than capable of developing their own thoughts and opinions. We believe that in reporting local news, all content should be based on facts, not opinion. We refuse to report information from unreliable sources in order to fit personal agendas. We will always be committed to reporting the facts only.
There's not been a single week pass without an increase in readership and we have no plans of slowing down anytime soon. Thank you for your support as we continue to provide the local coverage you deserve.
