The Edmonson County FCS Agent will be demonstrating how to make Maple Apple Sauce using the Ball FreshTECH HarvestProSauce and Salsa Maker. St. Helen 53rd Annual Community Ice Cream Social, August 25th, 2018, 10am to 8pm. at St. Helen Parish Center, 230 Cavalry Dr. in Glasgow, KY Turn off 31E turn onto Cavalry Drive at Shoney's. *Our own premium church churned ice cream concession in 12 different flavors *Food concessions by Knights of Columbus -BBQ pork/sides plates & Los Mariachis -Mexican plates. *Live Music 11:30am – 2:00pm by Shayne Vaughan. *Kids & Family Games *Shop Our Famous Bake Sale, 53rd ICS Shirts & Hats, Huge Church Yard Sale, various Vendor Booths. *Multiple silent auctions: themed baskets, white 2005 Cadillac De ville, & lakeside cabin in Dale Hollow Lake, weekend family stay. *Door prize drawings every 2 hours starting at noon until closing. *All proceeds goes to building a new church rectory, any donations are most appreciated! Edmonson County 4-H Pony Express Fun Horse Show will take place on September 3rd at the Edmonson County Saddle Club located at the fairgrounds. The show will begin at 9 a.m and admission is $5.00 Donation per Carload/Truckload. Concessions will be available.
There will be a Forestry Field Day at Mammoth Cave National Park on September 11th, 2018. Contact the Edmonson County Extension Office by September 6th to register. Ages 9-18.Youth are responsible for transportation to the park. Meet at the Mammoth Cave Picnic Area north of the Visitor Center Parking Lot. All events will begin at 9:00 am and run until approximately 2:00 pm.The three events that students will be participating will be: compass and pacing, tree measurements, and tree identification. A $3.00 registration fee per student. The morning will consist of a training event and followed by a testing session.
