The UK Cooperative Extension Service of Edmonson County would like to announce their upcoming meetings:
The Edmonson County District Board will meet on Thursday, January 28th at 4:00 PM.
The County Extension Council will meet on Thursday, January 28th at 5:00 PM.
The 4-H Council will meet on Thursday, January 28th at 6:00 PM.
The meetings will be held virtually via Zoom.

Edmonson County Senior (60+) Food Commodities: Residents 60 and over could qualify for Feeding America food commodities. This program is age/income based and are distributed on the last Thursday of each month at the Brownsville Senior Center 280 Ferguson St ( beside the Library). Edmonson County residents age 60 and over can qualify for free curbside meals Monday-Friday at the Brownsville Senior Center located at 280 Ferguson St. (beside the Library). This program is provided by Community Action of Southern Kentucky and is available to our seniors and income guidelines do not apply. The Center for Accessible Living in Bowling Green is a disability resource center that serves the ten county BRADD region. We received a grant under the CARES Act to provide COVID-19 related assistance to individuals with disabilities. Examples of assistance includes rent, utilities, food, PPE, technology, etc. To apply for assistance contact Barrett Griffin at 502-297-1324.
Edmonson Co. Head Start NOW Serving Infants and Toddlers in addition to Preschoolers: The high quality 5 STARS rated early childhood program serves eligible families of three and four year olds in addition to our brand new Early Head Start classroom serving children as young as 6 weeks up to two year olds. They are a full year program serving children August thru the middle of July. Our days serving children include Monday- Thursday. Rebecca Shipp, Center Manager will follow up the online applications with a phone call to complete the process, during the COVID-19 / Coronavirus closure.
