Mongoose,
I don't know that you are a climate denier but judging your stance on everything else I bet you are. How can you not accept that climate change and higher temperatures aren't causing more powerful storms after witnessing the two hurricanes we just had? It's settled science, and like Stevie Wonder said you'd have to be blind not to see it. Dear VP Gore, Don't you love when total strangers paint a picture of your persona based on stereotypes? I will have to admit in this case, dude nailed it. Contrary to popular belief, I did go to college and have a degree. I will not divulge my area of study as it might compromise my secret identity, but it is neither the liberal arts or language arts category. The Scientific Method consists of hypothesis, theories, experiments, and law. I would interpret your term "settled science" as law. Scientific law is not determined by consensus, meaning 97% of scientists agreeing on something does not make it law or settled science. To gain the coveted title of scientific law, the theory must be repeatable and have the same results verified over and over again. Gravity for instance: every time you drop a spit bottle, for example, it will fall. To say global warming, (man made in particular) is settled science and caused Harvey & Irma is simply not true. This is easily debunked by analyzing temperature and hurricane intensity. There is NO correlation. Don't believe me? Google Dr. Roy Spencer. If you are too lazy to do your own research, answer me these two questions: Was the 12 previous years without a major US hurricane due to climate change or were the two hurricanes we just endured? Or answer this, if prehistoric man were alive during the Quaternary glaciation-- aka the ice age, what exactly did they do to end it? --MG
