Ancil “Sonny” Hudson, 84, of Bowling Green passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 at his residence. He was a native of Bloomfield, KY and born April 10, 1939. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Hazel Hudson, four brothers Earl, Curtis, Harold and Kenny, three sisters Polly, Jean and Helen and one grandson Gentry Gray.
Sonny spent his younger years on a farm in Bloomfield, KY then moved to Louisville after the death of his father. He worked for International Harvester (Navistar) and later retired from the company. He has always loved hunting and especially fishing. He and his wife moved to Nolin Lake where he and Terry loved the lake life for 22 years, then moved to Bowling Green in 2003. Sonny was also an avid WKU Volleyball Fan. Survivors are his wife Terry (Daniel) Hudson, six children Bryan Hudson (Brooke), Todd Hudson (Caroline), Travis Hudson (Cindy), Bruce Hudson, Tammy Bush (Bob) and Stephanie Underwood. Nine precious grandchildren Tyler, Drew, Mallory, McLaine, Megan, Jordan, Charlie, Matt and Amy. Funeral services will be Monday, March 4, 2024 at 10:00 am at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane. Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Monday, 8:00 am until time of services at the funeral home. The family chose cremation.
