Carlos Johnson, age 80 of Brownsville, departed this life on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born on January 26, 1942 to the late Estil A. and Fern Blanton Johnson. He was married to Sandy Patton Johnson, who survives.
Carlos was a retired packer for Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company. He was saved at Jock United Baptist Church, where he remained a member until his passing. Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— two sons, Mike Cast (Doris) of Brownsville and Kevin Cast of Sunfish; five grandchildren, Michael Metcalf, Jessi Rose (Derek), Andy Cast, Mason Cast and Raven Cast; two great-grandchildren, Evan Schoenagel and Ginna Metcalf; one brother, Jack Johnson (Karen) of Mt. Washington; two sisters, June Basham of Louisville and Janice Sharpe of Sarasota, Florida, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Ann Metcalf and three brothers, John, Ray, and Carl Johnson. Interment will be in Sweeden Church Cemetery.
