Dallis L. Meredith, age 87 of Brownsville, KY departed this life on July 19, 2021 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. The Edmonson County native was born on July 31, 1933 to the late Bro. Everett J. and Effie Anderson Meredith. He was married to his devoted wife and help mate of sixty-eight years, Nell Luttrell Meredith, who survives.
Dallis was a United States Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He retired as a heavy equipment operator after working for years with Glass Paving and Coleman Brothers Construction. He was a member of Pleasant Union United Baptist Church, Wand B. Doyle DAV Chapter #32 and Nesbit Alexander Memorial Post #6937 VFW. Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— two daughters, Machell Martin (Roger) and Theresa Lamar (Don) all of Lindseyville; four grandchildren, Meredith Stewart (Chris), Sean Martin (Jessica), Jourdian Lamar (Amanda) and Nathaniel Lamar; six great-grandchildren, Sarah and J.T. Stewart, Jonah Couch, Dallis and Emmy Lamar and Olivia Martin; one brother, Larry Meredith of Lindseyville along with several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Perry Meredith, Eva Pearl Tomes, Dorothy Bullock and Regnal Meredith. Interment will be in Pleasant Union Church Cemetery with graveside military honors by Nesbit Alexander Memorial Post #6937 VFW.
