Official Kickoff to Christmas Season in Brownsville

The Christmas season officially kicked off in Brownsville tonight at the annual Lions Club Christmas Parade. Local businesses, emergency workers, organizations, elected officials, and many more decorated their floats and vehicles with lights, trees, and gingerbread.

This year's winners included:

• Best of Show: Edmonson County 4-H
• Best Fire Department: Bear Creek
• Antique Car: Sheldon Tomes
• Commercial: K Ray The DJ
• Civic: Edmonson County 4-H
• Horse and Rider: Joan Childress
• Horse Drawn: Carl Reed
