Darren Doyle, Edmonson Voice
Sunshine for a few hours, then blackened skies and hard rain. Repeat. Its an all-too familiar routine that Edmonson County residents have been a part of for the last several days, and today, Thursday, July 9th was no different, other than some pretty serious storm damage in parts of the county. Take a look at some of the pics we gathered today from Sandy Flat Road, Union Light Road, and Nolin Dam Road.
Emergency Management Director Pat Prunty said that the damage he assessed appeared to be caused from straight-line winds and luckily there were no reported injuries.
It was also reported that a large bradford pear tree fell onto some parked cars at the courthouse, but workers were able to clean up the site before any photos were taken.
