As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, Mike and Frank continue their mission to recycle America by rescuing forgotten relics and giving them a new lease on life, while learning a thing or two about American history along the way. AMERICAN PICKERS is looking for leads and would love to explore your buried treasure. They are on the hunt for characters with interesting and unique items. Some of what they look for: vintage bicycles, toys, unusual radios, movie memorabilia, advertising, military items, folk art, pre-50’s western gear, early firefighting equipment, vintage musical equipment, automotive items, and clothing. They are always excited to find things they’ve never seen before and learn the story behind it. Edmonson Voice Staff Officials are crediting a Facebook post as the reason a Sweeden man was found driving under the influence Sunday night near Kyrock Elementary School. A local law enforcement officer who was off-duty at the time, said he saw a Facebook post from a man that apparently showed himself driving with a bottle of Seagram's Gin & Juice. The photo, which also showed the car's speedometer at 44mph, was captioned with "Me and my buddy!" The off-duty officer gave the information to a sheriff's deputy, which reportedly found the man at Kyrock Elementary. Official reports also said that the driver, Gene Duncan, 54, of Sweeden told the deputy that he hadn't been drinking and denied the Facebook post, until it was shown to him by the deputy. The deputy reported that Duncan showed signs of being impaired and that the bottle of alcohol in the photo was found in the vehicle. Duncan then reportedly admitted to drinking alcohol while driving, was arrested, and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol. Duncan was transported to the Hart County Jail where he was released on bond.
