Several Edmonson County residents are still without power this morning after last night's severe weather. Jones and Gravil Tax Service in Bee Spring has closed today due to lack of power. 

WRECC crews worked around the clock and are active today with hopes of restoring power as soon as possible. 

The National Weather Service will be evaluating the storm from last night sometime today. We are currently working with their staff as they assess the damage.

Edmonson Voice Staff Report:
**UPDATE AT 11:17PM
Traffic is now open on all roads, according to local law enforcement, although many roadways are only one lane. Sheriff Shane Doyle reported that all members of the Sheriff's Office were out working accidents and helping clear roadways.

"Edmonson County should be very proud of all emergency workers tonight," he said. "We have amazing people that make up our highway crews, fire departments, utility companies, and our local law enforcement agencies. Our dispatchers were also getting the job done as always. Deputies were going door-to-door checking on families in areas were the damage was the worst, and KSP also answered calls with us tonight. We saw lots of homes, vehicles, and personal property damaged tonight, but luckily we had no reports of injuries."

Local authorities are estimating that a tornado touched down in Bee Spring, but there will be no official word until the National Weather Service completes their assessment sometime tomorrow. 

​**ORIGINAL REPORT AT 8:20PM:
Emergency personnel are currently working multiple areas of Edmonson County with the main area focused on Bee Spring, where reports of multiple downed trees have several roadways blocked.

Multiple homes have reported serious damage and fallen trees have led to several traffic accidents. 

Sheriff Shane Doyle said that as of 8:15pm, a portion of HWY 259 N near the Bee Spring Post Office headed north is shut down. Jock Road is also currently closed along with Oklahoma Road.

Live electric lines are also reportedly down in certain areas.

"We obviously need everyone to stay put if you can," said Shane Doyle. "There are more storms in the forecast tonight so please find a safe place and stay put. KSP is out responding to calls with us all over the county."

The National Weather Service has been contacted regarding the storm damage and a full evaluation is being coordinated for sometime tomorrow, according to meteorologist Landon Hampton.
