Edmonson Voice Staff Report
The Edmonson County Sheriff's Office arrested a Louisville man on Thursday, October 6 around 9pm after attempting to serve an arrest warrant on a Bee Spring man that wasn't home. The Sheriff's office said that instead, they were met by John Chapman, 36 of Louisville, an acquaintance of the man they were looking for.
Authorities said they could see what appeared to be methamphetamine in plain sight. A search warrant was obtained and executed at the residence. Chapman was arrested on site and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, First Degree, First Offense (Meth), and Drug Paraphernalia-Buy/Posses.
Officials also said that Chapman also had an arrest warrant out of Jefferson County. He was lodged in the Hart County Jail where he is currently being held on a $5,000 cash bond.
The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the 38th District Commonwealth Attorney's Office.
