Baby, It's Cold Outside: Friday Closings

Edmonson County residents woke up to anywhere from 2-3" of snow on Friday morning and temps around -5 degrees.

In addition, the 10-20mph winds across the county are also causing wind chills of -20 to -25 degrees. A wind chill warning remains in effect through noon today, then a wind chill advisory until Saturday at noon.

We have been made aware of several closings due to the weather as well as the upcoming Christmas weekend, which include:

• Bank of Edmonson County (closed Friday, Saturday, and Monday-26th)
• Cee Bee Food Store (will reopen Saturday-24th)
• County Offices including: Courthouse, Judge-Executive, PVA, County Clerk, Circuit Clerk, County Attorney, Sheriff's Office (closed Fri, Sat, Mon)
• Independence General Baptist has canceled service for Sunday, Dec 25th
• Graves Gilbert Clinic closed Friday, 23rd
• Stockholm United Baptist Church has canceled services for Sunday, Dec 25th

*Editor's note: I went outside in shorts and a t-shirt when I got up, not long after daylight. I'm pretty sure I died of hypothermia. Someone please tell my wife when she starts missing me on trash day next week.
