Darren Doyle, story and photos: A food delivery box truck overturned this morning in a single vehicle accident on KY HWY 187 around 8 AM. In an on-scene interview, Alfred Borum, (45) of Nashville, TN, who was the driver, said he was headed north on 187 from Nashville for a delivery in Leitchfield. He said the truck, a 2017 International, began to pull to the right for an unknown reason and went off the shoulder of the road. He overcorrected and the vehicle exited the left side of the roadway where it overturned. "The seatbelts held us in place," he said. "We'd have have been thrown around everywhere if not for them." There was a teenage passenger in the truck as well. Both subjects refused medical treatment at the scene. No injuries were reported.
An Edmonson County Health Department official was called to the scene, which is protocol when a food related vehicle of this type is involved in such an accident, according to Edmonson County Emergency Management Director Terry Massey, who also responded. According to the Edmonson County Sheriff's Office, who investigated, no action was taken in the county regarding the food, which was said to have been frozen. Also responding to the scene was the Bear Creek Fire Department, Edmonson EMS, and the KY Transportation Cabinet District 3 Edmonson County office.

Honestly, I am thankful that no one was injured. I cannot thank Connor Edmonson enough for this delight.
