Horrible Crash, Amazingly No Injuries

On Wednesday, evening approximately 8:00pm, Samantha Johnson 20, was north bound on Penner Road when her vehicle exited the right side of the roadway, struck a tree with the right front fender, then went airborne. After traveling approximately 25 feet in the air, the vehicle struck another tree with the roof and passenger door while approximately 4 feet off the ground. The vehicle then bounced off the tree and landed on its tires in the middle of the road.

Despite the severity of the wreck, Johnson had no visible cuts and only minor injuries. This can be partially credited to her properly wearing a seatbelt.

The Edmonson County Sheriff's Department worked the collision and was assisted on scene by Edmonson County Jaws, Chalybeate VFD, Edmonson EMS and various first responders.
