Houchin Ferry river access is open for put-in and take-out of canoes and kayaks.
The park installed 80 tons of rock at the site today, to provide more solid footing than the existing soft river mud.
"This is a temporary fix," said Superintendent Barclay Trimble. "We will begin a study of the area later this year to determine the best way to access the river at Houchin Ferry."
