Darren Doyle, story and photos:
A Tennessee man was transported to the Medical Center with serious head injuries after a single motorcycle crash occurred Friday night just south of the Edmonson/Warren line around 11pm.

Officials said that Justin Gobell (35) of Columbia, TN was headed north on KY HWY 101 when he lost control of his 2005 Suzuki and left the roadway, traveling approximately 135 ft through the grass.

Gobell, who was riding with several other motorcyclists, was thrown from the bike and suffered gashes to his head. Emergency personnel on scene said that the man was fortunate that his injuries were no worse, considering he was not wearing a helmet.

Come on - so thankful for the help at the wreck scene, but 23+ people and half a dozen or more response vehicles to a lone motorcycle crash? When is enough help enough?

First time i ever saw somebody complain about help showing up to a wreck. people complain about emergnency workers not showing up now too many showing up. what a shame. i guess you think they should all be babysitting dumpsters. i m glad for all our emergency people .thank you for what you do.

When it was called in, the caller wasn't sure what county they was in. Just knew it was on the hill. Thats why Chalybeate and Smiths Grove responded.

I LOVE Edmonson County's emergency workers, staff, and personnel, too. Just think other counties' personnel may be trying to "steal their show." No harm meant whatsoever. Sincerely.

Steal the show? Um, this accident was in Warren County. It's not a show. It's people trying to help other people. Most of them volunteers.
